2024 will be an exciting year for the food industry
Now that 2023 is almost over, let’s remember some milestones and thank all of you who have made it possible.
In our day to day, we’ve worked on many interesting applications this year. For one customer who produces vegetable extracts, we’re building a model to determine the glucosinolates content, saving 200€ per analysis compared to a lab, which really does add up. And for another, we’ve built a model that categorizes carrageenan, based on its chemical fingerprint (more on this in an upcoming story), giving them much better control over the quality of their product. We’ve also worked with the ibérico industry, on solutions to determine the fatty acid profile of ham legs, helping them evaluate if the pig was feed acorn or not (this changes the value of the jamón drastically).
Each new application we work on is an exciting step in moving towards widespread adoption of NIR in the food industry, which will enable safer food and increased transparency in supply chains.
At Chemometric Brain we’re big believers in our partnerships. Why fight for a small piece of the pie if we can make the pie bigger together? In 2023 we’ve worked on strengthening our relationships with existing partners and building new ones. They are a key part of making this business possible. Thank you to all of you.
A highlight from the year has been our participation in the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, a platform helping to accelerate innovative companies. Through it we’ve received $ 150,000 in Azure credits, support from experts in the Microsoft ecosystem and many more perks. All of it is helping us move faster towards our goals.
All the work this year, sets the stage for our ambitions for the coming years. Technically, commercially, and strategically, this has been a successful year, and we’d like to thank you –our customers, partners, and supporters – for your continued trust.
I’d like to wish you a very happy start to the new year 2024, and hope you enjoy health, peace and wellbeing.
